It is hard to know what goes on in the mind of a child. However, when an unusually verbal child is willing (eager!) to discuss any topic, some hints of the thought processes become clear. This is especially true when the child enthusiastically discusses topics which she has no knowledge of but is still willing to express her opinion. In her early years, the author followed his daughter with pen and notebook, recording her observations and opinions on a number of topics. This is a record of her comments, each of which is followed by a comment by her proud but cynical father.
