Why the Little Book of Shadow?

When I wrote the first poem, Shadow, I had no plans whatsoever. As soon as Shadow made itself known two parallel concepts began to form for me. One was a story concerning two protagonists trapped by the world they live in, one where those who live in light and those who live in darkness co-exist in a troubled state of peace. The other was a consideration of dark and light and of shadow. As I wrote these two were interwoven in a set of poem / incidents that unfortunately came to a halt, a traffic jam or something like it. Here in the Little Book of Shadow are the poems that have a life outside of the bigger book that is slowly evolving still in the back of my mind.
