Georges Rodenbach (1855-1898) was a symbolist poet and novelist, who in his story "Bruges-la-morte" makes a parallel between this Flemish city and one of his inhabitants, who after his wife has died, has escaped from the world, but tries to comer back after meeting a dancer who reminds him of his wife. It is an impressive song to grief and loneliness and Korngold was inspired by the novel for an opera. Note; This audiobook is in Spanish.
