Charles G. Finney (1905-1989) was a newspaperman in a rural zone in the United States, who wrote a number of books but only "The circus of Dr. Lao" has survived, and is considered a masterpiece of fantasy. In this novel a mysterious china man arrives to a town with a circus full of legendary creatures and characters that allow each inhabitant to relate to them according their own personality. The result is a mirror image of mankind and a satire to the way people is unable to accept marvels. Charles G.
