《시조시학(時調詩學)》은 1940년 '조광사' 초판본으로 시조에 관한 일반적 이론을 모아 정리한 해설서이다.
'자산시선(自山詩選)'에서는 자신의 시조작품 160수를 수록하였다.
시조의 하나 이름은 혹은 단가(短歌)라고도 하였으나, 일반적 통용어로는 시조(時調) 두 글자가 본(本)이 되어야 이것이 풍유(諷喩)의 상투어(套語)까지도 유행한 것이다.(본문 중에서>
