Classical pianist Renata DiMonte abandons her career of a lifetime with the symphony to entertain in the world-renowned, elegant Piano Bar and Lounge of the Claremont Arms, one of New York City’s premier luxury hotels.

Haunted by irrational guilt following her mother’s death Renata finds solace in the music she has always longed to play, bonding closely with her audience for the first time. However, five-star service is not all the Claremont Arms has to offer—like all historic establishments there are other rumors, too, and stories of paranormal phenomena. Are these simply flukes, products of an over-active imagination, or are unexplained forces at work in this gracious grand hotel? Often a patron requests a song, and without warning their story becomes Renata’s, an open book of pain and joy she must share with them.
