Big Jim's men had gunned down O'Brien and shot Buchanan in the back ...Buchanan lay on the floor, bracing himself on one elbow. He heard Big Jim say, "No, don't kill him. Get his gun. Fire another shot into O'Brien. We want Buchanan hanged."
