The abstracts in this compilation were made from microfilmed copies of the original records of Grant, Harrison, and Pendleton Counties, Kentucky, by Janet K. Pease of Arvada, Colorado.
The volume of Grant County Guardianships appears to be incomplete, in that after a few 1838 settlements and a few more in 1839, there is a big gap until records were kept again in 1846. The index at the end of this section titled "Early Grant Co. Kentucky Marriages and Bonds, 1820-1844" also includes the index for the Grant County Guardianships.
The first book of Grant County marriage bonds, covering the period of time up to mid 1832, is unfortunately missing. Those marriages, then before that date, for which no bonds exist, have been typed up separately.
