My e-book looks at a large scale cigarette smuggling ring that operated in New York and various eastern U.S. states. The gang that ran the ring was closely linked to the Gambino, Bonanno and Colombo crime families. Among the lynchpins in the illegal operation was Mari family associate John Carneglia. Carneglia was also involved in heroin trafficking in the 1970s and early 1980s. Among the Gambino family participants in the smuggling conspiracy was Joseph "Joe Butler" DeCicco.
