Why read these short stories and case studies?
Very useful information accumulated in one book. Teens and commuters can learn about many driving situations and terminologies. They can also learn about social issues and about problems caused by urban sprawl. Teens can read interesting stories about other teens and grown-ups. They can learn from other peoples' mistakes and about supernatural incidents faced by long-haul drivers on our remote and mountainous highways. Those drivers faced an abnormally sized wolf, a gypsy woman, and maybe a Bigfoot and other strange creatures.
Fatalities in teen crashes spike after steady decline: Teens were involved in 14,000 fatal crashes during the last five years, with nearly one-third involving speeding, according to AAA automobile club. The number of people killed in those crashes jumped to 4,689 last year, from 4,272 in 2014, according to a report from the Governors Highway Safety Association funded by Ford Motor Co.
Why a safe and responsible driver?
Because you're loved ones need you. Injuries caused by accidents will hurt you or others. You are handling a machine weighing thousands of pounds if out of control could cause serious damage or death.
