Oh, baby, I love your way. Sort of.
Bottles and diapers and cries, poor Max! A laugh out loud, heartwarming babysitting disaster that will make your day a whole lot happier.
Age old question: Where do babies come from? Obvious answer: Their parents. At least until the parents decide to hatch a disastrous matchmaking scheme. Cue Sophie and Jack. And Max, of course. None of whom know how babies work. Most people Sophie's age are making babies. Sophie can barely manage to make a sandwich.
So, what happens when Sophie and Jack are tricked into babysitting an eating, screaming, pooping machine? Sophie discovers that no outfit is complete without barf and baby food. Jack realizes babies can smell fear. Max learns silence isn't golden, it's suspicious. Buttercup knows the baby needs to be changed. Like into a couch or something quieter. And what does buh-buh-buh mean exactly? Time for a beer? A sandwich? The Little Mermaid?
Only the cute, cuddly cherub knows for sure.
Poor Max learns 'parent speak' for, "I'm going to count to three. Because I said so. Eat your vegetables!" Now it's game on.
Join in the laughs, the love, and the tail-wagging fun!

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:
If you are looking for a good, out loud laugh, this book is for you. Sophie and Jack are tricked into caring for his 6 month old niece. Neither of them has any experience with babies. Add to the confusion two big dogs and a cat with issues of their own and the results are hilarious.
This was a lightning fast little read. It was also an hour-long ab workout because I never stopped laughing. I haven't yet had the pleasure of reading any of the books before this, but that's okay because this story stands perfectly well on its own. There's the suggestion that there's more story before this, but you don't need to know any of it to understand what's going on here. This book was written by an author with a fine understanding of pets behaving badly, fussy babies, and big nosy interfering families. Sophie and Jack are subjected to all of the above for our reading pleasure. And it was a pleasure. My only complaint is that it's over too quickly.
Small but powerful, or is that a description of Emma, the unsuspecting major player in this matchmaking scheme? When new parents of a six month old take a vacation and hatch a plan, Uncle Jack bears the brunt of this game. However Jack and Sophie seem to have a secret the others have not uncovered. With wonderful humor and plenty of loud action, this addition to the series is a winner.
Sophie and Jack's continuing adventures are a never ending source of full on laughter as they deal with the realities of baby care when they are tricked into extended babysitting duty for Jack's niece, Baby Emma. Especially since neither one has a clue how to deal with a 6 month old baby. As the title states...this involves diapers!!!
The two dogs, Max and Buttercup with all their own personality quirks, are there of course adding another whole level of hilarity to the situation. What will food addicted Max find to eat, or at least Try to eat, next? How big will klepto-hoarder Buttercup's stash get to be? And will Sophie and Jack actually (finally) figure out how to gain control of their dogs and spoil all the fun?! You will have to read the book to find out!
