The Sorceress Saga: Book 2
THE WORLD HAS GOTTEN BIGGER AND STRANGER
Aria didn't exactly save Haven. Or even the Realm of Eurotopa. Her involvement, however, did allow Nicholas to warn Prince Jonathan so they could evacuate the doomed kingdom. Those who managed to escape alive are now on their way to Carimaca, a realm halfway across the world, where Jonathan and the princess shall marry and rule as King and Queen.
Aria, regrettably, does not view this outcome as much of a win. Her existence, mere presence on the royal ship, angers many. She remains, in name, King Crane's Sorceress. To be fair, though, she was the cause of Eurotopa's ultimate fall. To top this off, there are spirits that haunt her dreams, her waking thoughts, her vision. Everywhere she glances, faces of those she murdered on command stalk her life with accusatory blame. The dead and living don't care that she took her past actions with the mercy King Crane never offered. That she tried to save everyone in the end. She isn't even sure she sees her own actions as mercy anymore but rather the murder it truly had been.
This internal and external conflict sends Aria spiraling into madness, which leads to a string of events and the loss of control of abilities she barely comprehends. Not just that, but the loss of control of abilities she doesn't even know she possesses. Then, during a stolen moment of calm, she and Nicholas are swept overboard into a spontaneous and chaotic storm. They won't be joining everyone else in Carimaca but entering the world of fae beings, dangerous hunters, krakens, sea dragons, and long-lost secrets to tack onto the recently unraveled ones. All Aria believed to be fantasy is real!
Even more, Aria is beyond being King Crane's Sorceress. She has always been beyond that. She belongs in the fae world. Although someone in this new life disagrees.
