Another case for Daniel Truce: Patricia Green, a 17-year-old girl, has been missing for 48 hours. The team on site have no leads and have asked the Edinburgh special unit for help. At first, everyone assumes that she has run away. But Truce digs deeper and finds out that Patricia has a secret boyfriend, much older than her. He also hears rumours about parties at Blaine Forest - a place with an unpleasant reputation, where once women accused of witchcraft were hung. Ten years ago, a young girl from the same school hanged herself there, and only one year ago, it was the site of a murder-suicide of a young couple. It is possible that the cases are connected?
