In questo contrasto ricercato fra il tono sottile e il contenuto drammatico delle sue narrazioni, Martina Vidaić gioca il confine fra reale e irreale, tra ciò che appare verosimile per il tono e per la semplicità del racconto, e ciò che per immagini e tragedia si svela essere come assurdo e surreale, quasi impossibile.
L'autrice
Martina Vidaić (1986., Zadar, Croatia) graduated in Croatian language and literature at the University of Zadar. So far she has published three poetry collections: Era gmazova (SKUD IGK, 2011.), Tamni čovjek Birger (VBZ, 2016.) and Mehanika peluda (HDP, 2018.). While it was still a manuscript Era gmazova was awarded with Goran's price for young poets, the most important Croatian award for poets under thirty. Her second poetry collection Tamni čovjek Birger was the finalist of «Janko Polić Kamov» award, an award by Croatian writers society, for the best and most inovative book of the year. Her poems were also published in the anthology Hrvatska mlada lirika 2014 (Young Croatian lyrics 2014, HDP, 2014., editor M. Pogačar) among eleven other poets under forty and among seventeen other poets in croato-romanian anthology Ritualul omului fericit (18 poeti croati tineri) (Tracus Arte, 2017., editor B.Oblučar). Since 2015. she is one of the Croatian choices for international project Versopolis1, which promotes perspective European poets by translations and participation in several important European poetry festivals. At the moment she is working on her first novel and fourth poetry collection.
