Dante "Danny" Gasbarrini was a prominent Canadian hoodlum that was linked to the Stefano Magaddino family of Buffalo, New York. Dante was first arrested for conspiracy to traffic narcotics in Vancouver in 1949. His most well-known Canadian crony was Johnny "Pops" Papalia. Gasbarrini and Papalia grew up together in Hamilton where they attended high school. The two teamed to open the Porcupine Pines Social Club which flourished for a while before police intervened.
