Illinois Winters is running from a shameful past, from one coast to the other. With sheer determination to hide her secrets she attempts to trim off her past and sew together a successful future as a fashion designer. Her shot comes after a chance meeting with a woman who offers to help make Illinois' dreams true.  While Illinois wants to stitch together a new life, she struggles with the concept unconditional love, generosity, forgiveness and the contrast between the patterns of her old life, and the designs of her present life. She wonders if she will ever find a place to call home.
