My excursion into creative writing happened innocently enough. One night during my freshman year of college I woke up at 2:00 a.m. with the urge to write. I got out of bed and composed an ode, a poem of about 30 stanzas, about a topic which at the time was front page news.
Since then I've written much poetry which has appeared online and elsewhere, short stories, novellas, essays, a play and even a novel. Here I pen my thoughts on writing, writers and their craft and one writer in particular, a brilliant contemporary writer whose writing I enjoy and who has inspired me to write: Stephen King.
