A love story novel, with a central character of a down-trodden Greek taverna owner, standing up for herself and the women of her island. Paraskevi, who we first met in "Waiting For Kitto" as Rebecca's friend and house maid, is now married and running the taverna, once owned by her domineering father. Finding that her husband is having at least one affair, she instigates her own, which leads to another and, through confusion, this leads to other women becoming more adventurous.

A book, left to Paraskevi, as a tip from a grateful and all-seeing female customer has changed Paraskevi's life and changes what tourists don't see that goes on "Behind Greek Doors."
