This second volume in the series Living Fae covers the periods Harlequin and Yarrow each spend in the royal fae court in Tara, with a further section on the adventures of some of the fae they meet there. The underground palace is quite unlike the woods of Alderley Edge, and both fae and unicorns find it difficult to adjust. However, relationships (romantic, friendly, and otherwise) with the people they meet in the course of their guard duty help enormously. There are cat fairies, fox fairies and even leprechauns to deal with. As in Growing Up Fae, there are sorrows and joys, formal and private celebrations, new experiences and near-disasters. There are royals and commoners and even a wildling. And eventually, there are homecomings, when the pair are reunited on The Edge.
