Jordan sees people going into the old, empty building across the street. He is really curious when his parents and an elderly man join the group. His father explains that the building used to be a courthouse and that the elderly man used to be a judge. He says that the city gave the building to their neighborhood to fix up and use. While helping repair the building, Jordan learns more about his neighbors.
