Reed Sullivan is a lonesome girl who fails to see the meaning of life. Everyone in her family is always cold towards her for an unknown reason.
After discovering a tangerine tree near her apartment building, it transforms into the one thing she wants the most- a friend. The girl is named Tangerine. She has a sixth sense and so discovers an old map kept secret by Reed's sister. Together, they follow the map and unlock the hidden barrier to Corydon. Not only do they cross the barrier but they also set the barrier keeper free- a man named Nicholas. Corydon is a place controlled by the emotions and actions of the people outside of the land.
