There lived a good pious man all by himself, who spent most of his time in praying, fasting and praising Allah SWT The Creator of Earth and Heaven. Almost all his waking hours were utilised in meditation and devotions. He was very happy with his spiritual progress. No wicked thoughts came to his mind and no evil temptations entered his heart. One night, he dreamt a rather disturbing dream. He saw that a shopkeeper in the town was far superior to him in spirituality and that he must go to him to learn the basics of true spiritual life.

Il y vivait un homme pieux et bon tout seul, qui passait la majeure partie de son temps à prier, jeûner et louer Allah SWT, le Créateur de la Terre et du Ciel. Presque toutes ses heures de veille étaient consacrées à la méditation et aux dévotions. Il était très heureux de son progrès spirituel. Aucune mauvaise pensée ne lui vint à l'esprit et aucune mauvaise tentation ne pénétra dans son cœur. Une nuit, il a fait un rêve plutôt troublant. Il vit qu'un commerçant de la ville était de loin supérieur à lui en spiritualité et qu'il devait aller à lui pour apprendre les bases de la vraie vie spirituelle.

Жил один добрый благочестивый человек, который большую часть времени проводил в молитве, посте и прославлении Аллаха (Бога), Творца Земли и неба. Почти все его часы бодрствования использовались в медитации и молитвах. Он был очень доволен своим духовным прогрессом. Никакие злые мысли не приходили ему в голову и никакие злые искушения не входили в его сердце. Однажды ночью ему приснился довольно тревожный сон. Он увидел, что владелец магазина в городе намного превосходит его в духовности и что он должен пойти к нему, чтобы узнать основы истинной духовной жизни.
