Claremonte County is full of regrets.

Jonah Stockwell, retiring as Claremonte's sheriff soon, has a conscience stuffed with them. In the last year, he's seen three of his staff corrupted and one killed. The county's addiction to cocaine endures.

With the election to replace Stockwell looming, and a man hand-picked by Dwayne Loveless favored to win over Stockwell's own chosen successor, the deaths begin.

The drugs Stockwell has failed to remove are claiming the lives of people he's sworn to protect. The Sheriff's biggest failures haunt his final days.

But the deaths also provide a chance for Stockwell to atone for those failures. An opportunity to walk away with no regrets.
