This book contains a collection of interviews with ten or so curators with more than twenty years of experience in the local fine art community conducted by Koh Dong-yeon, art critic, and Sin Hyeon-jin, former senior curator of the Ssamzie Space.

The interviewees, who have served as managers, researchers, policy makers or critics of local fine art agencies run by the central and municipal governments or businesses, explore the status of Korean fine art curators and their society they have experienced rather than their superficial appearance packaged by the mass media.

It is hoped that this book will enable those aspiring to a curator's career to learn all about the strategies adopted by their predecessors and to develop their career, while informing general readers about the structural changes in the local fine art community resulting from the influence of neo-liberalism over the past twenty years.
