Ruled by twenty-seven kings, the Joseon dynasty left behind forty-two royal tombs, historic sites showing the 518-year history of the dynasty. This book offers a fresh perspective on the history of the Joseon dynasty by retracing the historic events related with the royal tombs, including the life and death of kings, queens and other members of the royal family. It also sheds new light on the kings, the occupants of the royal tombs, and their histories through photos of the tombs and riddles.
