This document collection will give a voice to the women, minorities, defense workers, and protestors who maintained the home front during the mass mobilization for the war. Analyzing these civilians will help students uncover the long-term social and cultural changes that continue to shape America today. Students are guided through their analysis of the primary sources with an author-provided learning objective, central question, and historical context.
