As if the town of El Dorado, Colorado didn't already have enough to gossip about, cattle rustling! Hundred’s of cattle from local ranches were disappearing and it all began around the same time that Native American Chavez Eagle-Feather appeared. He worked the local ranches too many and too quickly and the rumors that followed weren't pretty – that he couldn't hold a job or keep his hands off the rancher’s wives. 

Courtney first met him at the McGregor ranch and he was more handsome than she imagined any man could be, when she’d looked into his piercing black eyes her heart softened, she hadn't felt like that in a long time, it frightened her - not of him but of herself and the feelings he stirred within her – she’d sworn never to let herself be hurt again. Their first words were those of an argument, words she would later regret.
