Eight centuries later, on another All Hallows' Eve, the past awakens. The Carrick Foundation, built by Lord Cree's descendants, is hosting its annual charity gala, a night when spirits roam and history bleeds into the present. Among the serving staff is Dawn, a struggling artist with an inexplicable draw to the foundation's grand estate. And there, amid laughter and glances exchanged, she encounters Cree—a stranger who feels oddly familiar, stirring emotions she can't explain.
