Because statistics show that 70 percent of middle and high school students have been bullied at some point, and the fact that bullying played some part in a large percentage of recent school shootings, I felt a need to write this book. Children need to know that violence is never the answer, and that bullying hurts in more ways than one.

I hope that this book will encourage discussions between children, parents, educators and school administrators so that bullying can become a thing of the past.
