A fellow at an ice rink appears to have a heart attack. Skating behind him is the Captain of the local medic's unit. He gives CPR within seconds of the event. The fellow never shows any vital signs during treatment. He is DOA on site.
He was checked out physically at them first of the week. His doctor can not explain the sudden attack. He was wearing his new type of skates and the Coroner found two very small burn marks on both his heels. He waits for the victim's tread mill results before going on.
The results are unclear, and an autopsy is conducted. He was electrocoated while skating with his grand kids, how is unknown.
The case goes to Inspector Strong as a suspicious death. The skates are suspected as they are a new design using small batteries. The victim worked for a soap company that does business only overseas and moved to Boise after he retired. Nothing else can be found about it in the normal channels.
Three people in Virginia are worried about the investigation but dare not interfere.
Rage goes to the UW to talk to a friend about set theory and circles. He draws circles within circles trying to include all the facts of the case in one large circle that would explain everything.
