A.H. Macmillan the original author of this book, wrote it in his eightieth year, a documented history of his many faith strengthening experiences, as a member of the Bethel family of Jehovah's Witnesses, from being a young man of 20 in 1900 until 1961 when he died at 81. He first wrote about his growing faith, as a young man searching for truth. His ministerial career spanned six decades of devoted service to Yehowah God, many trials and joys combined into an extroadinary lifetime. As a close associate of Pastor Charles Taze Russell, Joseph P. Rutherford, and later Nathan H. Knorr he has intimate knowledge of all of the travails and growing pains of this unique organization through the first half of the Twentieth Century. He realized a growing knowledge of the Bible throughout, and also a growing hatred at the hands of the established organized religions.
