UXL Encyclopedia of Weather and Natural Disasters, Second Edition, is a revision and update of the 2008 edition that presents comprehensive, up-to-date information on weather and climate basics, weather conditions and phenomena, natural disasters, forecasting, and human influences on weather and climate. Approximately 300 entries, arranged alphabetically across a five volume set, introduce students to the science behind the topics in clear, nontechnical language. The title presents topics relevant in the science classroom and also looks at societal, political, and technological aspects of weather, climate, and natural disasters, including tornadoes, volcanoes, floods, earthquakes, and tsunamis.
