Hunter Riley has been working his way down the ladder of succes in TV News until he hits rock bottom in "podunk" Bakersfield, California. In a hilarious effort to salvage his career and resurrect his tiny station from the ratings graveyard, he hires a dancer from the local strip club to anchor the news and manufacures a crisis at an old folks home. When the crisis boils over to become a national story, Hunter is forced to choose ethics where perception is reality, and facts just get in the way of a good story.
