This Volume, divided into three Parts, contains the full text of the laws and resolutions passed during the 1st and 2nd Ordinary Sessions of the Eighteenth Legislature of Puerto Rico, the last of which was Act No. 122, approved on 18 December 2017, and Joint Resolution No. 26, approved on November 8, 2017. In the preparation of this work the editors have taken great care in order to accurately and faithfully reproduce the full text of said laws and resolutions, as It was approved by the Legislative Assembly.

In accordance with Article 37 of the Political Code of 1902, as amended, the laws and joint resolutions are numbered consecutively each calendar year regardless of the session in which they are approved. For this reason, as of January 1, 1991, they are published in numerical order of approval, without reference to the session of the Legislature in which they were approved.

To facilitate the work of those who consult this work have included a table of contents and several lists that appear preceding the first law, namely: alphabetical relationship by law and resolutions, list of members of the Council of Government Secretaries , of the members and officers of the Legislative Assembly and of the members of the Supreme Court.

Following the last resolution appear two valuable tables of laws and joint resolutions, the first with expression of their respective projects and the second by date of approval and classification in L.P.R.A. The work closes with an extensive and detailed alphabetical index.
