The Scam is charging people false hotel damages fees, just as they are leaving town. Businesses know their sales people are having false hotel charges billed. Most false charges are buried in credit card bills that few people ever look at.
Each officer is given a two-day crash course on the specific products their firm sells. They must learn enough about the products to make the sales' appointments that were scheduled weeks in advance. They are expected to sell and take orders for their company.
