Can old wounds ever truly heal?  Can first love be rekindled and given another chance?

These are just some of the questions on Ashlie Kirkhaus' mind after returning for a visit to her hometown and attending the local East Bank Annual Fireman's Fish Fry-where she runs into her old childhood and high school flame, Shane Harlow, whom she hasn't seen or heard from in the past ten years.

Still full of mistrust and anger from her recent divorce, Ashlie struggles with her feelings for Shane and wonders if she is being played the fool.  Should she give the love of her life another chance, or is it better to leave well enough alone and go back home?

Shane says he's changed, but do people ever really change? Ashlie asks herself.  Can he finally be the man she'd always wanted him to be, and if so, will he be able to convince her of that and win back her heart?

Add in the reappearance of Ashlie's childhood best friend with her own set of secrets and issues, and you have a love triangle on your hands.

Will Ashlie forgive and forget, or take the "easy" road back home to resume her previously less-than-satisfactory life alone?
