ONYX Cafe has been on the brink of bankruptcy for years. On top of that, its owner — Jay Brown — hasn't had a single meaningful relationship since the murder of his best friend Jeffrey nearly two decades​ earlier.

When Jay finds that half a million dollars has been deposited into his account on the same night his Uncle Roger returns home from prison, he assumes he's been involved in an elaborate money laundering operation.

But Roger denies culpability, instead attributing the money to a "magic" floor tile that teleports, time travels, and disintegrates objects for their opposites.

Jay's world is turning to dust, just like the fossilized embryo of his uncle's son. Should he trust his uncle to save his business, even if he was the one that got his best friend involved in selling drugs in the first place — the same drugs that got him killed?
