This study presents highly detailed library satisfaction demographic data from a representative sample of approximately 1,100 college students attending 4-year colleges in the United States. The study imparts highly specific data on student evaluation – of the overall library – and of specific services such as: the range of databases available and quality of training to use them, the library's hours of operation, electronic reserves services, printing and photocopying services, the library website, quality of technical help in using library information technology, and performance of the reference staff. In addition, survey participants relate in an open-ended question what new features that they would like to see in their libraries.

Data in the report is presented in the aggregate and then broken out separately for seventeen different variables including but not limited to: college grades, gender, income level, year of college standing, SAT/ACT scores, regional origin, age, sexual orientation, college major and other personal variables, and by Carnegie class, enrollment size and public/private status of the survey participants institutions of higher education.
