When homicide detective Casey Duncan (now Casey Butler) first arrived in Rockton, she had no idea what to expect. It's a tiny town hidden in the Yukon, built as a haven for people running from their pasts. No cell phones. No internet. No mail. And no way of getting in or out without the town council's approval. Still, the very last thing she expected was for the council to drop a serial killer into their midst. Literally drop him off, without a plan to keep him imprisoned or a plan to keep the other residents safe. That part is up to Casey and Sheriff Eric Dalton.

Of course Oliver Brady claims he's being set up. Tensions rise as the town divides between those who think he's innocent and those who think he's too dangerous to simply be locked in a cell. Someone's going to set him free. Or someone's going kill him. Before that can happen, Casey must figure out who exactly Brady is and what crimes he's truly responsible for committing.
