The incubator room had eleven small beds in it and all but one was occupied. Sister Singana walked in and did a visual check from the doorway. Four beds were empty!

The detective team of gappers, led by hero Chad Steyn, are back after the December vacation, and they are immediately welcomed by an accumulation of awful crimes. This time they face a baby snatching syndicate and homophobia. Once again they waste no time in getting to the core of the operation.

This remarkable crime novel is the fourth in the Chad Steyn Crime Series, written by the mysterious South African author Brynn Hardeman. This highly descriptive, realistic crime thriller, which is based on actual events, takes us to actual places in South Africa. It is based on actual events and it takes place in present day. Brynn Hardeman always seems to keep us on the edge of our seat with his realistic crime novels and this novel is the jewel of the series, yet there is more great criminal adventure to come.

Word from author Bernard Harold Curgenven: Very few writers have the courage to consider the gay community in their novels, in fear of losing the audience they may already have. However, they seem to overlook the fact that there are countless readers amongst the gay community, and these readers are permanently searching for a good read that is equally entertaining to the gay community. Well, this crime series is equally appealing to both gay and non-gay community, as the leading character is a gay man, yet he manages to appear macho, fitting perfectly into the suspense filled storyline. I do love the inclusion of actual points in time, actual places and actual names of songs which assist in broadening our imagination. Well done, Brynn Hardeman!
