Ransom is the story about a young boy, Oscar, who discovers that his pet frog, Louis, has been kidnapped. To save Louis from a horrific death he must successfully accomplish several ordeals which test his character and courage.

Instructed to not tell anyone, Oscar is forced to emerge out of his personal margins, push back his boundaries, and come to terms with the death of his mother, three years earlier.

As he faithfully labours to complete his tasks, he comes to realize that he is a mere pawn in a gambit designed to initiate him into a more adaptive attitude towards life.

Oscars journey is heroic and spans six thrilling hours during the summer solstice, on his birthday...and the third anniversary of his mother's death.
