Shimmering within the ordinary is the yearning we as a people have to belong somewhere more perfectly suited to our nature...to what defines us as human beings. Our restlessness, our sense of lack and absence, our constant falling and rising...indeed our incorruptible belief that we belong somewhere out there, living a different shore life, is testament to this imperative within.

The great return, enacted symbolically by movements of individuals and populations back to their origins is the framework for these poems. They represent the glittering thoughts and feelings of a psyche, labouring heroically and arduously out of the many voids of this life, towards a place of familiarity and complete consummation.

The hidden wisdom of all our experience is simply this: We are on our way home...where we were seeded out of that wondrous potential of being.
