Pentagruel is an old dragon who has lost his fire. The last of his kind in the Kingdom of High Ideals. As he struggles to accept this great loss, his eyes flash shut, again and again. And every time they do, many kingdoms away, Dasdemora the elf shudders.

At first these shudders are a source of mystery and concern for Dasdemora, who does not understand their meaning. However, with the help of his younger brother Phelan and Emma-Rowe his fairy sister he eventually comes to realize their significance.

So begins his journey to find, and somehow share the fire he knows to be eternal with Pentagruel. It is a journey of compassion. A journey whose reward is the simple satisfaction of lending someone unfamiliar and in need, a helping hand.
