After the unexpected death of her young and healthy husband, Abigail Baker was soon faced with running an Oregon cattle ranch on her own, especially when she could no longer afford to pay the hands.  While trying to figure out what to do, she is surprised when her long lost brother-in-law arrives, announcing his intent to stay and help however he can. Life with Adam was tense at first since she really didn’t know him. He remained distant towards her, but Abigail comes to understand why he was gone all these years.
