Transit Transient is a compilation of poetry in short-form.

This work is set out like a diary, with the dates the poems were written recorded for each title.

Transit Transient was written almost exclusively while travelling on public transport, to and from the author's place of employment on train trips of about 40minutes duration. Nearly every poem was composed on a single trip, generally in the afternoons, as the morning journeys were mainly used to edit Compounds Constitute.

Given the consistency of the timeline and writing environment, there are multiple instances of repeated observational subject studies and writing patterns throughout the book, as like a painter, the poet reworks scenes and themes.

The main themes of the poems explored in Transit Transient are landscapes, cityscapes, transport, technology, society, nature, seasons, time, transience and human interactions.
