The everyday African boy life in the small village in Gambia is one of hardship. Despite Aliou's talent in football and exceptional performance in school, this African boy seems destined to live out his days in poverty like many of the villagers.

Then, with the sudden death of his father and no financial backing to continue studying, Aliou must make a firm financial decision that will require him to sacrifice perhaps his young tender life. It doesn't help that he is being pressured from his love's family to marry quickly.
