Father Tom Batt had been a success story for his entire life. He had been an honor student all the way through grade school, high school and college. He had played football at Notre Dame University. He started three games there before moving to special teams. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns before an injury forced him out of football. His long winning streak came to an end when the Catholic Church caught him breaking his vows as a priest. Doctor Batt continued in his profession, clinical psychology, after leaving the Church as a priest. Several years later after leaving the Church, he experienced an Epiphany. It changed him forever, while also making him the best exorcist in the world.
