After moving into his new dorm, Cayne Hathor feels hopeful about his future time in college. Alongside his best friend, Adam Geber, he also hopes to move on from his late first love, Sona Vazes.
Upon meeting a cute but strange girl named Angela, Cayne's life is thrown upside down after she introduces him to a world of magic and monsters, revealing an ancient order of mages fighting against demons known as Ahkasans.
Little by little, Cayne learns control of his new powers, and learns of an Ahkasan killing its own kind.
