College professors play a unique role in society. Not all good careers require earning a college degree, but those careers that tend to have the most influence on society all require advanced education. Senior executives, political leaders, military officers and most entrepreneurs go to college. How they apply what they learn in college can affect society in many ways. College professors shape and mold these future leaders in ways that nobody else can. To say that college professors are influential would be an understatement.
