Married to a successful lawyer, Rebecca a young black woman who has given up her own career in order to further her husband's success, her life in Toronto has been exciting and glamorous.

Life, however, is about to change for the young Mother. When she discovers her husband's unfaithfulness, Rebecca ventures up north to Algonquin in an attempt to protect her daughter from the fallout of a collapsing marriage.

Rebecca finds a new love of the country and horses thanks to the help of a farmer named O'Malley and a small cottage she grows to love. Little does she know this love will save her daughter's life.
